At SimplyCook, your mission is to help ensure our digital products meet high standards by executing tests, identifying defects, and supporting our product squads in delivering a seamless experience for our customers.

You will contribute to the development and execution of automated test scripts, working closely with development teams to identify test cases and ensure software quality. This role focuses on enhancing testing efficiency and reliability.

Please note that due to the size of our business, we don't have the license for sponsorship.

Your mission

Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts: This includes creating and maintaining scripts to simulate user interactions and test various aspects of the software.
Utilise existing test automation frameworks: Learn and work with pre-existing frameworks to streamline the testing process; including New Relic, Postman, Ghost Inspector and more
Perform hands-on exploratory testing: Ensuring new features meet requirements and function correctly.
Log and track issues and defects, working closely with developers to ensure they are resolved.
Execute test cases and scripts, validating functionality across web and mobile platforms.
Support contract testing, verifying API compatibility across different services and applications.

Your profile

Strong attention to detail, ensuring delivery high-quality digital products.
Natural curiosity and ability to spot issues quickly.
Clear and effective communication skills, making it easy to collaborate across teams.
Ability to document and track defects, ensuring they are addressed efficiently.
Experience with SDLC and working within Scrum and/or Kanban teams

Good to have:

Experience in building & maintaining automation testing frameworks
Experience with automated testing in Scrum/Kanban
Experience with API tools such as Postman
Experience with scripting languages such as Javascript, Python, Shell and SQL (or SQL-like languages)
